JHP operates multiple study clinics at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) and within the health centers in the city of Blantyre. There are dedicated research staff within the clinics to work on research and surveillance protocols. The personnel are adequately trained and tested on protocol procedures, and certified in human subjects protection and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Clinical oversight is provided by our expert team of consultant physicians specializing in obstetrics/gynecology, internal medicine, dermatology, clinical psychology and paediatrics.
"Research at JHP has evolved over time and we have influenced pre-service and in-service staff trainings, clinical care and patient outcomes through policy shifts in evidence-based medicine. Currently, we are transforming to embrace implementation science research innovations and I’m excited to be part of this journey."
