The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is an insitute at the NIH that supports research on human development throughout the entire life process to enhance the lives of children, adolescents, families, and communities. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) is also part of the NIH and conducts research on infections, immunologic, and allergic diseases to improve the lives of people in the United States and around the world.
University of Washington I-TECH
The International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH), a center of the University of Washingston Department of Global health, is a global network that aims to strengthen health systems in resource-limited countries. I-TECH has nearly 2,000 staff in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, and the United States. I-TECH partners with organizations locally to support the development of health work forces and health delivery systems.
